(News) Seabreeze waterpark in Rochester, New York, announced that it is preparing to kick off its 2012 season with a new ride, called the Hydro Racer.  This state-of-the-art racing slide complex comes from ProSlide Technology of Ottawa Canada, the world's premier manufacturer of water park attractions, and will be the first of its kind in New York. The slide has a lenght of 361 ft. and a vertical drop measuring 53 ft. and features a 32" ProTube translucent tube.  The ride is has open lanes with speed drops allowing 4 people on it at a time, head-first on mats. 

"Push off into an enclosed tube and pick up speed as you spiral head-first through a liquid helix. Shoot out into the open and catch some air as you plunge down a steep drop and into the landing zone. It's the ultimate in hydro power, the most thrilling aquatic race around - the Hydro Racer", the park announced.

The park has also invested on modifications to the Lazy River loading area for easier access, exciting new water-play elements, a major expansion of lounging areas by the Lazy River and Wave Pool and developed new pathways, landscaping, music and more.
