(News) The Walt Disney Company (NYSE:DIS) reported earnings for its third fiscal quarter and nine months ended July 2, 2011. Diluted earnings per share (EPS) for the third quarter increased 15% to $0.77, compared to $0.67 in the prior-year quarter. Tokyo Disneyland's OLC sees red in second quarter
(News) Oriental Land Co. (OLC), which operates the Tokyo Disney Resort, posted a consolidated net loss of just over 3.8bn Japanese Yen for its quarter ending in June. Gross profit plummeted from 24,585 million Yen to 5,840 million. Primary cause for the red figures is the recent Japanese earthquake and tsunami, which caused the park to close for nearly two months. Freestyle Music Park in Myrtle Beach may re-open in 2012
(News) The Freestyle Music Park, formerly known as the Hard Rock Park, may re-open in 2012, according to a host of sources. The mortgage holder of the park bought the property out of its current foreclosure and said it aims to re-open the park again in the next year. The 55 acre (220,000 m2) park has been designed to accomodate some 30,000 visitors, but the economic crisis led to its demise in 2008.

Great Wolf Resorts reports 2011 improved second quarter results
(News) For the second quarter ended June 30, 2011, the Great Wolf Resort reported a net loss of $(6.8) million, or $(0.22) per share, compared to a net loss of $(12.8) million, or $(0.41) per share, for the same period a year earlier.
