| | (News) Wild Water Kingdom, a 100-acre park in Canada, is opening today with some new attractions under its belt. For the park's 24th season,it is unveiling several new attractions, including the Face Drop, the country's first and only face-first zip line. Guests can now fly like Superman on one of the four 1200 foot-long high tension cable rides, reaching speeds of up to 50km/hr. The ride takes them from frome one end of the park to the other, starting atop the tallest water slide in the park. Riders will fly over the wave pool, meandering lazy river adn the lush tropical paradise called Caribbean Cove. To ensure the kids also get a share of the fun, the park has also installed a mini-zip line in the child-friendly area. The new kids area will also feature a new obstacle course adn rock climbing wall.
"Investing in new attractions in the park offers kids and their parents a reason to keep coming back to The Kingdom all summer long," says Kevin Siu-Chong, Managing Director of Wild Water Kingdom.
Also new for 2012 is a state-of-the-art golf driving range at the park. The range features one of the first fully automated golf tee systems in the country, with a new ball being offered automatically some four seconds after each drive. The system also includes a touch technology interface with launch analysis at every tee station.
"Given all the exciting new enhancements to the park, we're actually starting to call it The Kingdom", Siu-Chong adds. "Even though Wild Water is still a really important aspect of the experience, The Kingdom is more fitting because we are really so much more than just a water park now".
