(News) Schlitterbahn New Braunfels Waterpark (Texas, USA) announced that it would open "The Falls", the most anticipated ride of the summer at its waterparks, along with additional rides including the Deluge Whirlpool River, Butterfly Bayou kids’ area and the Boogie Bay heated pool with swim up refreshments. Voted the World’s Best Waterpark for 13 consecutive years, it opens the largest development in almost 15 years with the addition of a new park area called Tubenbach on Thursday, August 4.

The new Tubenbach area features several attractions and beaches allowing guests to enjoy the new rides. Also, several of the Tubenbach attractions are interconnected through an innovative Transportainment river allowing tubers to stay in the water and float through the Schlitterbahn East area.

New attractions include "The Falls", which is the world’s longest waterpark ride filled with raging rapids, careening waterfalls and giant waves. The 3,600 foot-long whitewater Transportainment river is accessible at a variety of locations. The Falls is a continuous rushing river that also features a ride up the park’s first AquaVeyer (conveyor belt lift hill) back to the beginning of the ride allowing for an endless float. Also new is the Deluge Whirlpool River, where tubers twist through a swift moving canyon; the Boogie Bay Heated Pool, a secluded hot spring; Butterfly Bayou Kids’ Area for kids and several new guest amenities.

“We are excited that our new attractions are ready to open,” explained Darren Hill, Schlitterbahn New Braunfels’ general manager. “Not only do we feel that this is the most thrilling new collection of attractions to open this year in Texas, but we are also honored to introduce another world record-breaking ride for our guests.”
